Wilkie Martin has lived and worked in the Cotswolds for 30 years. In the distant past he studied Agricultural Science and beer at the University of Leeds, having been to school in Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham. He was born in Nottingham.
He is a member of Catchword writers' group in Cirencester, having studied creative writing with Dr Rona Laycock at Cirencester College.
Inspector Hobbes is the first in a series of novels. He also writes short stories and silly poems, some of which are on youtube.
Wilkie has been a scuba diver for 20 years, diving in many locations around the world and in the UK. He is a diving instructor and keen shark watcher.
He is an enthusiastic cook, a hobby guitarist, a music fan and an avid reader. He lives with his partner of 30 years in the Cotswolds.
