Hobbes

Set in the seemingly sedate town of Sorenchester, these chronicles are narrated by a self-employed and useless reporter, Andy Caplet, about his encounters and adventures with the amazing and alarming Inspector Hobbes. Hobbes is a surprisingly old police officer with a dubious reputation, which may be because he is not an human being.

There are a series of Inspector Hobbes novels, including:

  • Inspector Hobbes

A comic tale of Andy's and Hobbes's first adventure together as they investigate the truth behind a suicide and several thefts with a link to Romania.
This novel is complete and is being edited prior to sending to agents.

  • Inspector Hobbes and the Curse

A wild investigation into what lies behind a series of strange events in Sorenchester, which has become overrun with dangerous creatures.
The first draft is complete. Editing of this will start soon, following a suitable delay so it can be viewed freshly.

  • Inspector Hobbes and the Root of all Evil

The third adventure features Inspector Hobbes and Andy Caplet going on a camping holiday and uncovering clues to the Great Sorenchester Gold Robbery.
Work on this is in progress.
